Whoopi got that from Ghost, but she should have got Best Actress from The Color Purple. IIRC Oprah also got a nom for her portrayal in The Color Purple. In fact, that movie received the most noms that year and was shut out. Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne both got noms, but they didn't win.
