Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were now the main attraction at a fundraising gala in New York, which will benefit the Foundation Maribel, the couple established to help children and women through telemedicine.
The Four Seasons of Hope gala at Samsung, in its ninth edition, which raises funds for nonprofit organizations, was attended by former U.S. president Bill Clinton and actor Matthew McConaughey.
“The Foundation Maribel has to do with our family, thinking about my sister who died at nine years (brain cancer),” said Marc Anthony to the media. ”It is a foundation of telemedicine, where doctors in the U.S., see patients anywhere in the world through cameras and X-rays, and collaboration with Samsung will help us a lot,” he said.
This evening managed to raise $ 1.2 million. The funds will be distributed between the Foundation and the JK Livin Maribel, who created the actor McConaughey, dedicated to helping teens to have an active lifestyle and make healthy choices to be men and women as well.
Marc Anthony performed for his part “I need to know ” and J.Lo performed “Lets get loud”, to end together on stage with a duet.
