True.
If anything, all the earthquakes we hear about shouldn't worry people because they're earthquakes, they should worry people because it shows how much the population is expanding. Before, nobody would ever really know of these quakes even if they were on land, now they do because so many people are crowded in an area that it will do damage.
Fortunately, the last few haven't been as destructive as Haiti..and even the destruction from the Haitian earthquake wasn't from the earthquake itself, but from a problem Haiti will continue to have: overcrowding combined with an infrastructure that might as well have been the same as the one it had when it was a colony.
