I see we have an undercover stan here. But don't try it. Nothing on MOTS, AGLM comes close to the songs on RATED R. But nice try, sis.

It has a lot of mainstream appeal and she's a popular artist (or at least I would think so) with a much buzzed about video, so she should be performing just as well as Nicki Minaj.
Maybe I'm overestimating Ciara's power and career though.

I joke around sometimes but Ciara fans are truly delusional

^Without being sent to pop radio.

Guess that means the original isn't as mainstream as you claim. Maybe that's why they're pushing the remix.

Then you must be on something illegal. Rihanna will never reach Beyonces level of respect and popularity. Beyonce is praised for some things Rihanna cant have because she wasn't blessed with them, Brilliant Vocal Talent and Performance Skills that do not come a dime a dozen. Not to mention her seniority as an artist, she has been around since the late 90's and has yet to flop once. Rihanna has already flopped 3 times from a pop music standard. Boy you tried.

Rihanna has grown a lot. I just miss her good ol' Caribbean days.

You should listen to the radio a bit more. Have you ever heard the radio play songs like; Hard, Stupid in Love, Russian Roulette, Photographs, Te Amo, Cold Case Love, G4L, The Last Song, Wait Your Turn?
|
Stop.
"Stupid In Love" is just as commercial as "Take A Bow". "Hard" is very commercial that's why it did pretty good on radio. And listening to the radio, you hear songs that sound similar to "Photographs" and "Te Amo".
Rated R only has a handful of potential singles compared to GGGB but it has enough.

Ke$ha is okay for 2009/10 but her music will grow stale and won't be able to come out with any great material, and that's the sad truth, for you. With Katy Perry on the other hand, despite the fact she's a stuck up bitch with a horrible attitude, her popularity in the charts will probably dwindle in about 4/5 years time. Christina Aguilera managed to stay successful through her second album and third album Worldwide, so don't bring in today's facts to back up your opinion, when it doesn't matter.
The same also goes for Miley Cyrus. She is losing her old fans because she's growing up. She could go Hilary Duff on us, and just disappear. Can't Be Tamed only debuted at 8 which is disappointing for Cyrus, I just wonder if the album will do as well.
The thing is you don't know how things will go in the future. I love Gaga, and I would love to think that she'd be able to continue successfully like Madonna, but you don't know how things will go.
|
Ok let me break it down for you
1. Why are you talking about Gaga, no one mentioned her
2. Ke$ha's debut single topped Billboard's chart for 9 weeks and sold over 4.9 million copies. She is here to stay
3. Katy Perry just got her second no.1 in less than 4 weeks. She sold 1.11 million copies. She isn't going anywhere
4. Christina is an old hasbeen.
5. "Don't bring in todays facts" WTF are you talking about. Today IS Today, don't bring up the past.

He's not even undercover. He used to defend Rihanna when everyone else was calling her a talentless *****.

No, let's begin it because it's true. RR wasn't exactly the single many hoped for, and her US-pop infested audiences didn't exactly appreciate it. Where did this song on Airplay? Almost nowhere! So, looking at the peak (only her digital saved her). As for 'Hard' and 'Rude Boy' the ignited the project and had they been first singles it would have been a different era. And as Rude Boy was saying the most commercial songs on the album aren't even being looked at when most of them are being IGNORED as SINGLES. Where is 'Te Amo' in the US? Or, 'Photographs'? And maybe even 'Stupid In Love' as you mentioned
|
Just because something happens to FLOP or not be released as a single does not mean its non commercial. Non commercial music is non promoted, the fact that Te Amo is about to have a video at all and is being performed on her WORLD TOUR alone makes it commercial. People are being confused by this term a lot on ATRL. Rihanna is as commercial as it gets because if she wasn't Jay-Z would not be spending time supporting her with his money.

Honey her and Beyonce are tied for Top 10's and Rihanna has 4 albums, on Beyonces fourth not only will she have about 18 Top 10's but she will also have at the least 6 solo No.1 singles.... lets not forget she has 4 with Destiny's Child either.

That theses Ciara stans are getting out of control and WAY OVER THEIR HEADS. Someone needs to put them in their place, whether it's a Gaga stan, a Bey stan, or a Riri stan

It means Ciara probably lost a great chunk of her pop audience so Jive maybe feel that if they overkill it and make it sound uber uber pop that it will catch on. We'll see how that ends up.
