And yes, "Blauw" NEEDS to be a single.

Rated R rose three spots on the Bilboard 200, and Rockstar 101 isn't doing anything because isn't getting airplay.

Well, "Ride" is performing well at its core format, so what's the issue? It's performing much better than "Go Girl," which didn't even make the last album.
Like I said, Ciara needs Urban support before she can get support from anywhere else. Of course something like "Ride" would get lost in the bunch. That doesn't mean it can't have success elsewhere.

i mean the song is top 40 in Bulgaria its obviously a grower but the pop heads dont understand

Is that ride that still can't get past the top 70 on Billboard after promo and radio play?

Well they didn't send Usher's "Hey Daddy" or "Lil Freak" to pop, so why would they send "Ride"?
Usher's songs sound more pop than "Ride" does.

If its in the top 50 of radio and still isnt anywhere near the top 200, THEN somethings wrong.

Of course. Like I said, "Ride" has a lot of mainstream appeal unlike their singles which were really strictly R&B/urban so I would expect it to do better.
And Nicki Minaj being Top 15 on Rhythmic and having spins on Pop before her adds date is good for her but saying that just makes "Ride" performance seem less impressive since it is mainstream and isn't getting any of those spins. We'll see what that pop remix does though.

If you think that you need to pop in Music Of The Sun and A Girl Like Me... those songs are similar to Unfaithful, Million Miles Away, PS Im Still Not Over You, and etc...

Because they sent OMG to Pop. If the remix of Ride isn't sent, Ciara will have nothing for Pop unless they do decide on Blauw.

The Last Song, and Russian Roulette show her maturity in songwriting, production and vocal ability.

What's wrong with this article? It is stating facts, like it or not. I love that Hilary Duff was mentioned. At least she's still somewhat relevant.

1) That's Jive's problem and that still isn't an excuse.

|
Please don't talk to me like you think you're hood, you don't sound good. Pitiful. I do find it purplexing that you think Ke$ha has the strength to last in the Music World for a further 5 years. Ke$ha is okay for 2009/10 but her music will grow stale and won't be able to come out with any great material, and that's the sad truth, for you. With Katy Perry on the other hand, despite the fact she's a stuck up bitch with a horrible attitude, her popularity in the charts will probably dwindle in about 4/5 years time. Christina Aguilera managed to stay successful through her second album and third album Worldwide, so don't bring in today's facts to back up your opinion, when it doesn't matter.
The same also goes for Miley Cyrus. She is losing her old fans because she's growing up. She could go Hilary Duff on us, and just disappear. Can't Be Tamed only debuted at 8 which is disappointing for Cyrus, I just wonder if the album will do as well.
The thing is you don't know how things will go in the future. I love Gaga, and I would love to think that she'd be able to continue successfully like Madonna, but you don't know how things will go.

Yeah, you can compare her albums with Rihanna's. Then only album that was on the chart longer than GGGB was her first album. AGLM and GGGB and RR have all stayed in the top 50 longer than many Britney albums.
|
I think you failed to understand what I said. I didn't argue who charted on the charts longer, I said "You're right, because after her first week sales, her albums stop selling right?" Meaning that after the big first week sales she doesn't sale crap afterward. Britney in her second and third week of the Circus album sold more than what "Rated R" made in it's first week of sales. Obviously Britney sold some albums after the first week if she continued to sale 200,000+ twice after the week of release (some artists debut with those numbers....if they're lucky). She sold 1.1 million more after the first week in the US alone. So which album sold more in the US and WW, Circus or Rated R? In The Zone sold 2.3 million more after it's first week in the US alone. Blackout with nearly no promo but paparazzi escapes sold 700,000+ more after the first week in the US alone.
