Chris Brown has been banned from England for his criminal record. Brown found out he was banned from England when he showed up for recent tour dates, but was denied entry into the country.
According to TMZ, the country released a statement saying that "We reserve the right to refuse entry to the UK to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offense." In other words, England just told Chris Brown that they aren't very accepting of singers beating up their girlfriends, and that they weren't going to let that "sort" of person into their country. It's hard to feel bad for Brown at this point, because he is merely suffering the consequences of what he did to Rihanna.
People in the U.S. have seemed to move on from the Chris Brown-Rihanna incident for the most part, but it is clear that is image wasn't just tarnished in the United States.
He had planned for three tour stops in England during his current tour, but went to his Twitter account to state that the tour had been canceled. Maybe this can serve as a wake-up call to anyone that believes the type of behavior that Brown was showing to Rihanna is unacceptable in any culture. Maybe this is also something that Brown should have tried to clear up before he started selling concert tickets to people in England, because now all he has done is waste the time of a lot of people.
There was no timetable revealed as to when Chris Brown might be allowed back on to England's soil, but really, they could decide to place a lifetime ban on him if they feel that his criminal record is that bad.
