I think GaGa is a man in the video though - what leads me to that assumption is the bed scene where first she is the top (4:32), then later in that scene the man rides her like a bottom (4:37)...so in that sense, GaGa is the dominant. Now that I think about it, she was a probably man within the church who struggled with their sexually and was condemned for it...
Re-watching the video, IMO, GaGa is not just herself. She is THREE people.
1) The woman at 2:05 grieving and throughout in the song's intro. She represents Alejandro's female companion, she seems to be a Queen of some sort...
2) 3:45 GaGa is the playing the gay man within the church and says 'please just let me go' - or in other words: accept me for who I am. Later at 5:08 her hand gesture might be a representation of her MALE character coming out of the closet...
3) Her third character at 5:38 is speaking directly to the audience. Her white hair and movements suggest equality and freedom. Given all the circumstances surrounding the video, GaGa character #3 is preaching for gay rights.
Later, the gun shot at 7:33 must have to deal with the casket at the beginning and her gun bra towards the end....the man sitting on bed with GaGa at the end is also holding a gun....hmmmm.
God...I don't know, LMAO...but that's my guess.
