Shocked parents brand Lady Gaga's bloody stage show as 'sickening' in wake of Cumbria slaughter

She's not exactly known for her squeaky-clean image and has been no stranger to controversy during her rise to fame.

But has Lady Gaga possibly taken things too far this time?

The singer was slammed by horrified fans after she she pretended to be murdered and eaten on stage by a crazed psycho killer, just hours after the horrific shooting spree across Cumbria.



Thousands of fans and parents who had taken their children to the concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester looked on in horror as the 24-year old singer, who was dressed in a skimpy leather basque, was ambushed from behind by a gothic man dressed in black, who then appeared to bite into her neck before fake blood spurted down the front of chest.

The scene on stage came just hours after cab driver Derrick Bird, 52, killed 12 in a gun rampage in Cumbria and just days after 'Crossbow Cannibal' suspect Stephen Griffiths, 40, was charged with murdering three prostitutes in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

One mum who took her 14-year old daughter to the show said: 'I was absolutely sickened at what I saw. We know Lady Gaga is not exactly mainstream performance for all the family but she really crossed the line this time.

Even though it wasn't exactly smart to do that at this particular time, Lady Gaga does this at all her shows. Did they not see the VMA's? I mean, they did have live streams.

why is she so hypocrite? just 2 days ago she was on Larry King talking about how she would never use violence to sell her music yet her videos and performances are violent

i kinda agree with him though. she is a hypocrite. I'm the biggest Gaga fan but she mentioned on Larry King that she doesn't tolerate violence and negativity in her music but yet her entire act is based on gruesome violence.

And last time I checked... death is not positive either.
her perception of fame is very negative and she often portrays the deterioration of life.
she shouldn't have said that on Larry King because it's not true and it could be used against her. she does use violence and death as art. it doesn't mean shes promoting it, but it does mean she's using those themes in her shows.

one day some crazy kid is going to commit suicide and leave some stupid gaga note and this will all come back to her. it won't be her fault...but she shouldn't claim she doesn't use violence in her shows.

anyway, that being said...the "monster" theme was cool at first but I'm ready for her to move on to the next era. she was so hot during the fame...then became an ugly monster. I'm ready for her to steer away into the next theme. the blood and ugliness is getting old. i can already predict her performances to the T. she's a monster, her dancers are monsters, there's fog, she runs back and forth to her piano and then its over. i can't believe we have to wait so long for the new album!!

she should of shown a little forsight and realised that the shootings were a begin events and it was kinda early to shock people in this way.

OMG , you lot are clueless. SHE WASN'T PROMOTING violence. She was performing the song monster , and she sings he ate my heart and jumps form the ground asif the monster ate her heart. ITS A SHOW , ITS ART, ITS GREAT. Im no Big gaga fan but THE PARENTS should really shut up. they know how gaga is like and its their responsibility whether or not to take their children. Plus IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE SHOW SHUT UP. I went to it , it was amazing.
