Pixie Lott has reportedly landed a role in new movie Sweet Baby Jesus.
The Turn It Up singer is swapping singing for acting in her latest venture as she has been cast as Mary in a modern day remake of the Christmas Nativity story.
Lott is thought to be replacing Britney Spears in the film after reports suggest the part was originally intended for the Toxic singer.
Deadline reports that the Essex girl will star alongside Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall, Bette Midler and Sam Rockwell in the comedy.
Producer Phillippe Rebboah said of the humorous take on the classic story: "It made me laugh out loud."
"The script has such fun subverting the treasured details of the Nativity – posing the question, 'What would we do if it all happened again?'"
Filming will be based in both Maryland and Ireland and Peter Hewitt has been chosen a the director for the project.
