I love Ashley's character but Aly's acting is just painful, i hope this doesn't flop but with Aly as the main character they need a miracle-

Well, Tom Welling, for example, is an average actor but Smallville is one of the biggest TV Shows ever, all he needs is his hotness I think this show will do fine, I'm pretty sure they'll use Ashley for promotion even tho she's not the lead.

I actually preferred Aly's acting over Ashley's from what I could see in this.

Although, they both play their parts well. Aly just has that girl next door thing down pat, and Ashley has the bitchy thing down pat. I guess that's thanks to their parts in the Disney shows/movies.

This looked good up until the part where the lead character decided to join cheerleading. Then it started to look more and more like those awful Bring It On films. From the beginning, I thought it was going to be some cool show about how Aly's character had super powers and Ashley's character was going to be the drama queen everyone hated, but somehow had a soft spot for the main character in later episodes where they look like they want to be friends, but still hate each other. But no. It had to turn into another damn cheerleading drama queen crap show.

Oh, well...

I'll tune in.

All Ashley did in that trailer was make pouty faces and her acting is better than Aly's who is perfectly in character? You realize she's not your girly girl cheerleader and instead is a sarcastic strange girl? Her acting is fine, yall just mad Ashley's character isn't lead and couldn't be the victim in that stolen towel scene ;O.

I posted this on another topic, but I'll say it again:

It's not about that she has to be the star, she just is. Ashley’s fanbase is probably at least 15-20x bigger than Aly's.

Whether or not her character is set up to be the lead, she automatically is because of her popularity. Without Ashley, the show would not get all this attention and there’s a good chance she’s the main reason it has been picked up.

^And that has anything to do with the hate on Aly, how?

Yeah, she popular and bringing in a crowd, but that doesn't 'make her acting better.' If she could have filled the role of Marti better she would have gotten the part. But she apparently fit Savannah better, and that's what she got.

Edit: I'm not saying her acting is bad either, these "Aly's so terrible, Ashley is 982592895x better' posts are bugging me when she was in there for all of three scenes.

I don't hate Aly, I actually LOVE her. And they both fit their roles perfectly, I was just saying that I don't care about the fact that Ashley's not the lead character because she IS the star already.

But as I said, I don't really care about that. It looks like a really fun show and it has two of my fav girls in it, I'm so watching it.
