Move over Ke$ha, Colette Carr is about to steal your shine!
Quote:
Colette Carr is the definition of a super star in the making. She’s sexy, talented, and a very smart girl. She is the first female rapper to come out of Malibu, CA, ever. Her ability to freestyle off the top of her head and match the rhythm to her beats makes her a force not to be played with. Being a female rapper means Colette has a lot to prove if she wants to get respect she deserves. But the fact that she’s a White female rapper makes it even harder.
I got a chance to catch up with her on the set of her new video for her debut single entitled “Bounce” and I was highly impressed. She worked the camera as if she was a veteran musician/ actress. I was amazed that hundreds of kids from Malibu woke up at 4am and headed to the beach in support of Colette. First, we went to the beach at 4 in the morning for the party shot, to a luxury night club to top the video off. Her family, friends, and colleagues all came to the shoot to support.
Colette knows she she is doing something different by being a female white rapper from Malibu, CA. When asked “How do you feel people will respond to a white female rapper from Malibu?” She replied: “I’m not worried about how people will respond. I’m creating original music and that’s what really matters to me you know? I’m making music because I love it. Not to Impress anyone. I really just love the music.”
Her debut single, “Just Bouncin’” is produced by the Bay Area’s own The Cataracs. “Just Bouncin’ is an up tempo song with a little hint of soft electonic sounds that is going to take over LA if not the whole country. The beat is up tempo but kind of disney channel. But her flow makes the song. The song is about being a hot girl and having guys want to “DO YOU” as Colette say’s in the hook of the song.
some songs....
"Bitch Like Me"
"Back It Up"
"I got places to go, people to see
Now you're ****ing with a bitch like me"
She doesn't got Ke$ha's swagger, the style is nothing like Ke$ha except for the second video where she got this outfite that looks like something Ke$ha used but still, not the same vibe from music or style what-so-ever.
BTW, on the first video she reminds me of Lindsay.
I know someone did not just make a thread called "the Next Ke$ha" then thought they could get away with it! My eyes are decieving me, but if they aren't, ima bout to slap the son of a bit** who made this
