Yes, the kid does have talent, but he's too young to be using it. He can hit high notes and he does have a good singing voice, but he needs to grow up first before he can use it. Also, I really hate him because he seems so cocky and annoying. So he just needs to mature and change his cocky personality, and he could be really good.
It depends on what talented means. He's been able to gain a lot fans very fast, which I think requires talent. I still think that he/she is an annoying arrogant twit though.
