For some reason certain artists blow or cannot use the hype that they have accumulated and end up flopping or are bound to flop.
Which artists are like this?

The first two that come to mind are Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj.
Gucci Mane was just finally getting famous and then he gets thrown back in jail.
Again.
For a year.
Again.


I don't what happened in Nicki's case but it seems like everyone does well from her hype except for her.

I think Avril does it all the time if Im honest. Somehow she re-creates her hype though. Like Let Go hype was awesome, she released UMS straight afterwards, great move, record sells millions again, she shoulda kept going... instead she takes a break, everyone thinks she quits music. Then Girlfriend comes out, she's hyped up and she releases 3 ****** singles after GF and now everyone thinks she's dead again. She will re-create her hype once again, and will sell millions of records once again

Kid Cudi - I was disappointed with his debut album.

Ashanti - She was the "it" girl but then she took too long a break & is now all but forgotten

Chris Brown - He was one of the most in-demand popstars of 08 & Exclusive was a massive success. Then his personal life overshadowed everything
