It’s no secret that the producers of American Idol like to keep the names of performers on finale night under wraps.
But two things are certain — Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze will be crowned the season 9 champ on Wednesday, and fans will see the last of Simon Cowell before he jumps over to X Factor in 2011.
But a source tells PEOPLE that a special send-off planned for the cranky judge will feature some Idol alums, including a special appearance by Paula Abdul.
And among the superstars taking the stage? Watch for a great performance by Christina Aguilera.

I don't care who wins because I love both of their voices. I can't wait to see what genre they are going to be after Idol.

I would prefer Crystal winning, but if Lee wins I wouldn't be mad at all. They both deserve to be there, and I definitely will be checking out both of their debut albums! Which is weird because ever since I started watching Idol is 2007, the finale has always been one I really disliked (Lewis, Cook, Lambert), and one I really wanted to win over the other (Sparks, Archuleta, Allen). Not this year, though.

this time i don't care who wins because both of them are really cool. siobhan had to be on the top 3, those were my favorites. i loved tim urban and the other young girl, don't remember her name. i hated the fat guy... don't remember his name either... hahaha. it has been a really boring season. i can not wait more for the us x factor with simon and paula.
i love paula abdul and i hope she comes back to the music business someday with a big hit... she deserves it. i would like adam lambert to perform on the finale.
