So I was going to go see it today (after waiting for WEEKS) and it ended up snowing (and will continue to do so for another hour or so) and all the good seats were taken
Such an amazing movie! A nice breath of fresh air among the dozens of super hero movies, re-boots and prequels/sequels. Phenomenal performances and music. A great call back to the golden age of Hollywood!
Just watched the Justin Hurwitz and La La Land songwriters interview after the Golden Gobes and it was super interesting!
They revealed there was another musical number called La La Land but they didn't know where to place it so they cut it. It was either going to be in the middle or the end credits. Also, they revealed that tons of songs had to be shortened like Someone in the Crowd, which originally had a full second verse and another chorus.
I hope they include the La La Land number on the DVD...
holy **** saw it tonight at a preview screening in London (we got it so late ) and OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD
The music, editing, cinematography (the colors!!!!), choreography, acting, everything about this slays. Emma was amazing, full of grace, poise and beauty. The final montage was beautiful. Literally one of my all time favorite movies.
Screeners are going out to SAG members so it's going to leak anytime.
Can't wait for this to SWEEP at the Oscars and press all the Little Whoperts and haters
Her and Ryan's chemistry was amazing. I'm definitely owning this when it comes out on Blu-Ray
