I recall them doing something for TVXQ shortly before they enlisted
but don't recall it being anything major
Let's be real the solo album will go something like this
Sunny x Sooyoung: some ballad
Hyoyeon: Miss Terry
Tiffany: I Just Want To Dance (English)
Yuri x Seohyun: Secret
Yoona : the boring station song
Taeyeon: 11:11
And their excuse is that the stations songs haven't been released physically.
SNSD's glory days are over so you won't get that back. They're a legacy act with an iconic discography. But the group these days is a shadow of what they used to be.
I personally don't think SNSD will disband
As soloists, they're better off staying with SM and just being inactive as OT8.
I hope that's what happens instead of an official disbandment.
Maybe an album every 2 years, or whenever they can be bothered to get together.
The members are still close to each other (they dorm even tho they don't have to) and seem to enjoy themselves when they have a random concert schedule once every 2 months, so I hope and believe that it's not the end just yet.
Aside from Sooyoung, who doesn't seem to give a crap, they all really love music and openly express their musical aspirations again and again, so I can't see them leaving it behind to pursue anything else (aside from Soo's acting).
I'd be really sad if we lost Soo when their contracts are up and we're just left with OT7, but if that's what she wanted, I'd get over it eventually.
