the weird thing about 2NE1 being fierce is that they're all kinda meek in real life besides Bommie, but they're all so charismatic and talented and pulled it off so well that it literally changed kpop from Tell Me/Gee/Mister kinds of stuffs to everyone being edgy.
I feel like Mamamoo are 2ne1's spiritual successors rather than BlackPink, obviously their music is very different but they're a group that survives on talent/charisma rather than visuals - I feel like we need at least one of those

True, they are meant to be a bit girlier (mostly thanks to Apink member-esque Jisoo) but they have strong 2ne1 influence. Nothing against her but Rose is a bit of a Bom/CL imitator in terms of her voice Jennie too, to some extent.
Their lyrics are quite different though. I don't see BlackPink doing anything even slightly like Ugly.

I'm not so sure about that, despite having the younger age advantage Jisoo is a bit of a questionable dancer while Irene very good, and I think SM cares about dancing a lot. F(x) & Red Velvet don't have any real dancing holes unlike SNSD
