The Globes are voted by less than 100 people, all journalists. Although the show does have an influene and all they do is try to predict the race.
The SAGs has DOZENS OF THOUSANDS of voters. It's a great indicator of who's gonna take the acting categories.
The Oscars are voted by around 6,000 members, all from the different guilds. The Acting guild has around 2,000 or so and that's why they're so important come Oscar time.
