Pretty much the same he's always serving. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid and radio will eat it up.

I feel like this concept has been done so many times already in recent years and he didn't bring anything new or better with this, but at least it's nicer than the other song

I actually really enjoy this. I like Ed, but most of his music has to grow on me. I think "Castle On the Hill" and "Shape of You" both need to grow on me, but I still really like them. I definitely like "Castle On the Hill" better, though.

I do think the whole nostalgia thing is becoming a recurring theme in pop music, but the thing is that it's not typically well done. Ed, however, did an fantastic job. I hope this becomes a huge hit for him. He really deserves it! It's so much better than most of the garbage on pop radio right now.

I wish this was getting more of the spotlight. This is the true smash. This is a classic waiting to happen. But like always the more generic track is generating more attention.

Honestly, I really think he should've just released "Shape of You" as the lead single and then released this as the follow-up. "Shape of You" is the obvious smash (and it's fantastic), but "Castle On the Hill" deserves to be a hit and it's a shame that it's probably going to get overshadowed by "Shape of You."

Just how the general public ran with 'Needed Me' instead of 'Kiss It Better' and 'Drunk In Love' over the flawless pop masterpiece 'XO'. The US general public always go for the more easier track if you will
