I totally agree, he should just credit himself as a solo artist now. He's been singing over electronic tunes, unless they get back to Rock sound, they are not considered a band.

Right? Nothing makes me cringe more than the number of pressed souls who appeared after M5 had that long string of top 10 hits Especially the ones who have people in their avis/sigs who haven't had a top 10 hit in a decade.

Anyway, Adam sounds nice in the snippet. Excited to hear it in full and I hope it's better than DWK!

Oh, well.

I know a lot of people are pissed that they won't go back to their previous sound, and to be honest, so am I. I really want them to make another It Won't Be Soon Before Long/Hands All Over-sounding album. For me, that was their creative peak, and that's the Maroon 5 sound that I love.

I loved V, and honestly, I think it was a great album. The singles aren't a great representation of the album as a whole. Overexposed was a bit of a disappointment, though. It's a decent album, but it's probably their worst. They keep saying they're going to go back to their old sound and they never do. Even their tour setlists have become comprised almost entirely of basically all of their top 5 hits. They don't do any album tracks or anything, and if it weren't for the fact that they're phenomenal live, I'd be really pissed because their setlists literally do not change.

I just hope they go back to their funk/pop-rock sound, because artists like Adele and Bruno Mars have proven that you can be successful with a "throwback" sort of sound. Adam's biggest influences were people like Prince and Freddie Mercury, and in their early days, they really tried to channel those artists into the music that they were creating, and I really hope they start doing that again because that sound suits them so much better.

Don't Wanna Know. was cute, but it basically sounds like they just knocked at any random pop producers door and just asked for any random generic instrumental Just like Sugar sounded like they were allowed to search through Katy's Teenage Dream/Prism leftovers. Their sound becomes less and less genuine and it is just Adam living his pop dream.

I don't even need 'them' to return to their roots, but just be clear and don't pretend to be a band, when any random pop girl could record their latest singles, It is basically currently Adam Levine (& The Scene)

I hope this one will be better than Don't Wanna Know, but I must say it has been a while since I have liked a M5 single properly, but I still check out new stuff, since I hold a hope that they eventually will be tired of this crap and atleast try to be a band again.
