Lemonade is underrated in the stan world. Of course, it didn't do bad at all and the tour was smashing. But I'm not impressed by the sales of the album compared to Adele and Taylor. Let alone the singles. Formation was a cute semi-viral hit but that's just it. BEYONCE did much more for the GP.

25 as a whole felt like a non-event by February. It was the return of Adele, had a massive lead single, sold a shitload of copies, and that's about it. Lemonade felt like an event that lived on well throughout the year.
Maybe in Harlem or something. And LMAO at that even being their argument. It's soooo subjective. If you hang around a bunch of BLM fanatics or Bey fans, then ofc its gonna feel like the biggest thing ever

The truth is... "Lemonade" is a great album. "25" is actually really good. I finally caved in and listened to it through and through. I even marvel at some of the songs (Love in the Dark/Remedy).
"25" sold MORE and WAS bigger and FELT bigger. Lemonade actually won prestigious awards though and was WAY more critically acclaimed.
So this petty thread does nothing for me other to obviously having to admit better luck next time Bey. (Pertaining to sales- which are declining)
