And anyway, this happens to a lot of artists. The ones who manage to maintain good relationships with their labels are the ones who are established enough to have power, or the ones who know how to compromise and play the game. New artists always make the mistake of thinking labels care about their feelings. They don't. They just want their money.

They would, if i was an artist who didn't make the label any money at all and they'd present me a hit and i would be like "nah, it's not me" i would get the same reaction as Tinashe got.
I'm not sayinbg it's a good reaction, but it has nothing to do with her being a female. Rihanna could get away with doing something like that and she's a female. Nick Jonas (example) could not do this and he's a Male. Stop labelling everything as racism/sexism

I think Tinashe likes Player. She probably didn't agree with the Chris feature, but the song itself isn't too far from her sound
I REALLY think she's talking about I Luh Ya *****. That's the only song of hers that's embarassing enough for her to say "I can't get behind this" and she threw mad shade when it was brought up in one of her interviews. Something like "I couldn't believe J Lo wanted that song"
