Are you really that closed minded? People change and that's a fact. As aa straight man I, too, used to not embrace homosexuality. Then a friend of mine came out, and first thing he did was tell us "I'm sorry". It felt broken, and I understood he didn't need to apologize for being himself, and I've been an ally ever since.
If you were to contrast my opinions then to whom I am now (I remember a discussion where I firmly stood against gay people adopting and I cringe and wanna die a little), it would be really unfair, and so is with this guy. He could have grown and mature and awaken.
