Gaga is so unique and talented and did so many great things but I think that the GP will only appreciate her after her death (in many many many years)

She hasn't done enough to be categorised as a legend even after death [why would you make a thread asking for something stuff related to a death of a living person], so no.

She already is, so I can't see why she wouldn't be after she dies.

i honestly say yes.

She has already made huge contributions to pop music, and is respected and known for her talent.

Just yesterday i finished reading Donna Tartt's Pulitzer prize winning novel "the goldfinch" and gaga was named in it toward the end, as the character was struggling to come to terms with his self, despite culture's message to "be yourself."

Gaga has wholly infiltrated so many different realms of pop culture and public consciousness. She will surely be remembered long after death.

Yes she will, i think her shoes, hair, clothes and etc is her brandmark... anybody who try to do so is imediately compared to her.

What about people like Jean Harlow (dead at 26), or Marilyn (dead at 36) or the entire 27 club?

Hell what about Cyndi Lauper--who had one huge era--and flopped endlessly after?

All these people had short lives/careers and are remembered as legends for their contributions.

Gaga is only 30 and has made such a huge mark on the world.
