Dustin Lance Black has spoken out against closeted gay actors who hide their sexuality

The Oscar-winning screenwriter, who is engaged to British Olympic diver Tom Daley, claimed stars shouldn’t lie about their personal life.

In an interview with Attitude, he said: ‘I have no respect for someone who lies about their sexuality. 'At the very least say “no comment,” just keep your personal life personal. But if you’re going to closet yourself, that sends a negative message.’

He said: ‘I’ve never encountered homophobia in casting from the studios or networks – not once, not ever.'

Black said concealing their sexuality could only damage their acting.

Putting your dreams and career aspirations on the line just for the "prevlige" of being open about who you love and/or sleep with isn't an easy decision.

And finally, sexuality isn't as easy to define for people. People just might not know their sexuality. They can't just "come out" as easily.

It's not the same for every gay in the world, just because you had it easy it may not be the same for somebody else and he has a lot of nerve considering the guy he's ****ing with.

How wonderful that his life is so perfect and that he feels he's in a position to look down on other people when it comes to this extremely personal issue.

One of the worst things about the gay community (it's not total but it's prevalent enough to be a problem) is the way so many openly gay men and women judge and dismiss those who aren't yet comfortable expressing their sexuality openly.

You know Dustin it is easy after you go through your trials and tribulations, to simply state be yourself. It is so sad that because he has made it that he has lost compassion for the people (who might be where he was years ago) of his own community struggle in the world that we have today.
