I finished this today, it was pretty good. Definitely not the type of show I usually watch (I'm not into period pieces and I prefer my dramas with more action) but Netflix never misses.
Visually it was stunning, and the acting was amazing, especially Lithgow. Churchill Vs. The Painter was the highlight of the season for me.
When he accepted the image and resigned, but also rejected the image at the same time (and burned it)... that was so powerful.
Literally all the characters bar Margaret came off as extremely unlikable though, which was strange. The Queen Mother, Prince Philip, and all the politicians in particular. I don't think I'll watch S2 for that reason, tbh.
