yeah but the thing is: racism isn't a valid point of view or a valid opinion and it should not be given equal time and treated like "oh well these racists and bigots have a right to an opinion too!! free speech!!1"
any "free speech" that seeks to marginalize a minority group or deny them their freedoms is not a right. you can't claim that it's your human right to destroy the rights of others. you don't have a "right" to be racist.
Furthermore, Simon & Schuster is representing this person by giving him a book deal - and, in turn, Milo is representing their company by publishing a book under them. Make no mistake, by giving him this platform, Simon & Schuster is co-signing his ideas and what he stands for. If they're publishing a book full of racism that's written by a racist then that makes the company an advocate for racism – and they should be held accountable for this.
