My dream though is someone who is super hardworking and talented. In an ideal world, we'd both be self-made and support each other. Money is like the main cause of divorces and always has been, and I think the happiest long-term relationships in this day and age are composed of two people who are both stable. the good samaritans of ATRL need to stop acting like they'd readily invest large quantities of money into someone that doesn't at least have the potential to make something of themselves.. idk I guess every situation is different, but I come from a poor family and have HUSTLED for the past 5 years starting from age 16 to get to where I am now so that I can give myself and my family a better life. I really can't see myself giving a free pass to someone who couldn't do it for themselves but love is love!

not below poverty but if both of us made like 50k a year and werent stressed out and had time to do things we enjoyed and enough money to be comfortable then i would be fine with it

I wouldn't care about the money, so yes I would.

It's not about that for me. My mum earned more than my dad and has a better pension, now he's coming for half of what she has made in the divorce.

I used to believe in forever love but not anymore. I am not putting myself in my mum's position. I won't marry unless they earn more than me.

I would date someone that was earning below poverty in the hopes that together we could improve both our situations. Maybe he's a waiter, slaving for his big break and ends up becoming the next Mariah Carey or Sandra Bullock.
