Yeah, everyone here basically assumes the view (I do not) that black people are taking over the town of predominately white people and are starting these little fights as a struggle over power begins to take place. It's honestly so ****ing stupid how they think that, and even when I tell people that's not the case and that they did NOTHING wrong, they just go to "Well, they could have, so it's better to be safe than sorry!" They also say that it's good that the employee is securing the store from the "risk of theft and damage". Like bitch, wtf are they gonna steal? There was no real damage and it was just a damn display. This racism and discrimination legit INFURIATES me to no end. Talking to them won't help, because even if I do clock people on their ******** on Facebook and during personal conversation, they then go into a weird tangent about how black lives don't matter and that it's just a ploy so black people can rise to power, which REALLY sends me over the edge.
It's not a ploy and it's not a gimmick, it's legit just trying to get rid of this racism and non-prosecuted attacks against people even though they pose no potential risk to physical harm / damage. I hate what Trump has done to this country, at least prior to him this **** wasn't thought to be ok. Now it's ok to prance around attacking anyone both verbally and physically.
I also totally agree with this weird double standard in situations like this. How is it ok for white men to do this to anyone of any race (specifically blacks) but all these protests and riots start when a black man / woman sticks up for themselves towards white people? It's complete and utter ********.
So yeah, to make a long rant short, I hate coming home for the holidays and I don't plan to ever return except for a couple days a year after graduation.
