Calm Down is an amazing song! Ibiza top 5 I like that song!
Million Reasons and Cheap Thrills are incredible songs! And Don't Let Me Down definitely my favorite from this set
16. Drake - Views, 7.5
Best Tracks: "One Dance", "Controlla", "Feel No Ways", "Childs Play", "Fire & Desire"
It kinda felt like Drake was on auto-pilot this time. Not next-level like his last few albums. He needs to focus less on his ego and more on the music next time.
Okay, I literally just listened to this album yesterday. That's why "Drone Bomb Me" wasn't on my songs list. That song is next-level. I'm just embarrassed this slipped past me all year.
14. Tinashe - Nightride, 7.7
Best Tracks: "Ghetto Boy", "C'est La Vie", "Ride of Your Life", "Company", "Party Favors"
This is a pretty solid album from Tinashe, even if she considers it a mixtape. It's pretty polished for a mixtape lmao. Not as good as Aquarius, but I'm glad she's continuing to push herself to new levels.
13. Bat for Lashes - The Bride, 7.8
Best Tracks: "Sunday Love", "I Will Love Again", "If I Knew", "In God's House", "Close Encounters"
This is an interesting concept album from Natasha. Sometimes it feels like she's trying to force the story even though the songs don't work, but there are still plenty of gems. Somebody should recruit her for the next Stranger Things soundtrack.
I love all of this. Haven't seen "Vice" get the love it deserves here. I haven't even checked out a lot of these performances, so I'll be bopping to the "Starboy"/"WFH" ones. Love Gaga and Sia, the two Knowles sister, and finally getting some validation that I'm not the only one who liked How to Dress Well this year!
Albums are very good as well, I have James/Bon right next to each other and kind of love listening to them back to back, and I love Tinashe/Britney. Can't wait for the rest!

Care is that bop! I'm so glad he worked with actual producers this time instead of doing everything himself.
12. Rihanna - Anti, 7.7
Best Tracks: "Needed Me", "Work", "Close to You", "Kiss It Better", "Higher"
It's not the greatest thing ever like her stans make it out to be, but it's an artistic step in the right direction. But the Tame Impala cover is laughable.
11. Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion: Side B, 8.0
Best Tracks: "The One", "Higher", "Cry", "Store"
Carly Rae's throwaway tracks created one of the better albums of the year. Kinda cool and sad at the same time.
10. Miranda Lambert - The Weight of These Wings, 7.9
Best Tracks: "Vice", "Well Rested", "Tomboy", "Pink Sunglasses", "Highway Vagabond"
Super-ambitious to make a double album, but it would have been flawless at 15 tracks.
09. The Weeknd - Starboy, 7.9
Best Tracks: "Starboy", "I Feel It Coming", "A Lonely Night", "Love to Lay", "Rockin'"
Take off three or four tracks and this album reaches legendary status. So many hits.
08. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman, 8.1
Best Tracks: "Into You", "Bad Decisions", "Sometimes", "Everyday", "Dangerous Woman"
My Everything, other than its singles, was kinda wack. I feel like Ariana's never going to make another album as good as this one. She perfectly blended all of her sounds into one cohesive album that can be listened from beginning to end.
07. How to Dress Well - Care, 8.2
Best Tracks: "Can't You Tell", "Lost Youth/Lost You", "Burning Up", "Untitled", "What's Up"
The best decision he made was working with actual producers who could help rein him in and give him a more cohesive, less rambling album.
06. Solange - A Seat at the Table, 8.4
Best Tracks: "Cranes in the Sky", "Don't Wish Me Well", "Don't Touch My Hair", "Junie", "Don't You Wait"
It's not True 2.0, which I was kinda bummed about, but she went for something deeper, which I can't help but respect.
05. Lady Gaga - Joanne, 8.4
Best Tracks: "Million Reasons", "Hey Girl", "John Wayne", "Joanne", "Diamond Heart"
I was high-key nervous when I learned that this album would have some country-ish influence, but she pulled it off well. She always gives 150% to every project. To hear the differences from The Fame to now, what a transformation. I'll always miss FameGa, but I can embrace the new Gaga too.
04. Shura - Nothing's Real, 8.6
Best Tracks: "Make It Up", "Indecision", "Kidz'n'Stuff", "2Shy", "Touch"
My favorite new artist of the year. Pretty incredible debut album.
03. Chairlift - Moth, 8.5
Best Tracks: "Crying in Public", "Moth to the Flame", "Show U Off", "Romeo", "Polymorphing"
I don't think it's a coincidence that they became more pop after working with Beyonce. I sure ain't complaining though. I love the bops mixed with introspection.
02. Beyoncé - Lemonade, 8.5
Best Tracks: "All Night", "Sorry", "Daddy Lessons", "Pray You Catch Me", "Formation"
Icon, Legend, Visionary, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera
01. Blood Orange - Freetown Sound, 8.7
Best Tracks: "E.V.P.", "Hands Up", "Best to You", "Hadron Collider", "Juicy 1-4"
Glad to see he finally got himself FOCUSED and made a cohesive album with a clear message. He used to be so fragmented and play around with different styles, which I didn't mind, but I love cohesion. HE DID THAT! with some help from some kick-ass chicks on features.
