From my understanding she was trying to make sure Kelly was being treated fairly because Kelly was one of her close friends. To be completely honest, it's fair that Brandy was looking out for a friend because in all truth Matthew was holding her back. I'll never forget seeing an interview where a member from a "boy band" (I wanna say Next) mentioned how they wanted to do a song with Kelly, but Matt told them that Bey had to sing it so the song never materialized.
I was surprised when I first heard that, but over the years nothing surprises me about Matthew unfortunately
This guy has always been inspired by Brandy. It's actually creepy. All of his vocal stylings were clearly pulled from Brandy. She was the first one to give him any attention because he was a FAN, then he started working with other artists giving them the runs he learned from studying Brandy. His fat ass is pressed because she's not working with him. And any of you that think Brandy came between Kelly and Bey are crazy. Solange continuously praises Brandy and Beyoncé was excited to see Brandy during the Whitney tribute at BET Awards. You people don't know ****.
