Yeah, from 2007-09. But they gave me perfect teeth so all the misery and pain was worth it.

I've never worn any but I think I should start wearing some to correct some slight imperfections I'm afraid they will become bigger later on

I made that mistake. Get a functional Ortho or Orofacial myofunctional therapist to fix that ****.

Braces can cause permanent damage to your jaw and skull and it can cause sleep apnea.

I got mine on in May 2014, was supposed to get them off in September 2015. In August 2015 I got drunk, fell on my face and broke three of my teeth... now I just got them off in October 2016. I didn't mind the whole process, minus falling.

I had to wear them TWICE. The first time when I was 10 and then again when I was 14. In total, probably around 3, almost 4 years

I was consistent about my retainer wear and I still am at night so my teeth are still pretty damn close.

Two years, during which time I had not only braces but headgear as well. The headgear was a pair of metal hinges affixed to the back of my mouth, and each time I would bite "incorrectly" the hinges would force my jaw the other way.

I would have had those tragic-looking fixtures on my head ala Katy Perry in "Last Friday Night" if I had been born in an earlier generation. A mess!
