I had a really hot doctor...



He's cute right? Well I got all 4 removed, at the same time, without going under since I had to pay most of it out of pocket. But because I was awake the whole time, and watching him work on my mouth, keeping me focused and bossing the dental assistant around, it made him even hotter. I wanted him in my mouth more often...

I walked away from there with a greater respect for surgeons, I don't think I'd ever be able to do something like that on another person.

The experience was oddly exciting. Whenever he would drill in to get one of them out, I'd lose sight on whatever side he was doing. Scary, but definitely an interesting experience. And, I don't know if it was the general anesthesia, but he seemed to be working really fast.

I still have mine. I can see all of them, but they haven't completely grown in. I was told that you don't need to take them out if they don't bother you. They only bother me when they grow, like my bottom-right tooth has been recently.

I got all four of mine out, and they put me to sleep, I swear it was just like I napped and woke up. I was given some kind of gas (I guess laughing gas?) and an IV in my arm, I remember feeling very "floaty" before they put me to out, like a little tipsy but not really. My inhibitions were very lowered, before I went under I was telling the nurse about me getting drunk on my flight to France earlier in the year, and after I woke up, I remember trying to speak to the nurse and crying a bit about my boyfriend not treating me right. It's not necessarily that I didn't want to say these things, but that I just felt fine saying whatever I wanted, and part of me acted extra because I thought it was funny to do. However, I don't think you'll have an issue with not outing yourself, if your experience is anything like mine.

The recovery is annoying as ****. At first after you wake up, you'll be very uncomfortable and numb but it wont be too bad, but as you start trying to talk or the gauze irritates you, your mouth will slowly regain sensation (and that sensation is a lot of pain). There will most likely be blood, whether you try to be careful talking or not, so don't wear a white shirt (a mistake that I made without thinking). At first I wasn't able to watch TV or listen to music at all, because the noise (maybe the vibrations, maybe the pain giving me a headache) made noise unbearable. Into You came out the day I got mine out, and that night I tried to listen to it and 30 seconds in I was like "this sounds like an amazing pop song but I can't ****ing do this now". You will have so much ****ing free time it's incredible, you'll want to avoid solid foods, even if you think you can bare it after a few days, trust sis that you can't. There will be more blood and probably crying as you try to push through the bite into that really soft poptart that you want really really bad, because you can only survive on liquids, pudding, milkshakes etc. for so long without going crazy.
