When you think of Alicia Silverstone, you probably have images in your mind of Clueless Valley Girl Cher, the undisputed queen of Bronson Alcott High School. Or perhaps as George Clooney's irritating companion Batgirl in Batman and Robin.
But you might struggle to think of anything she's done since then. And the latter was in 1997. That's 19 years ago. As if!
BUT. Could we be about to see a Silverstone resurgence? She has several projects in the works that could prove successful and place her back in the limelight. That's what we're hoping, anyway.
She is set to star in the action comedy film Catfight alongside Grey's Anatomy favourite Sandra Oh, the romcom Who Gets the Dog? opposite True Blood's Ryan Kwanten, a movie adaptation of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, and will also have a role in Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman's The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Surely at least one of those will be a hit?
Not only that, but she's set to lead a new US comedy titled American Woman. OK, it only airs on US network TV Land and is based on the life of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, but it also stars American Pie's Mena Suvari, who needs a comeback of her own. Please say this is good!
