You actually have over a dozen. It just means where exactly the Sun, Moon, and other planets like Mars, and Mercury were the minute, hour, day, month, year, and place you were born.
But the Sun is mostly used (it is dominant and controls most of your personality), and then Moon and Rising for fun.
For example, as a Aries Sun and Sagittarius Moon, they say I am hot tempered and goal-oriented but can be optimistic and caring for others and shy.....
