My cousin is 2 and has an iPad. She's 3 next month and I've bought her an iPhone, set up an Instagram, Twitter and snapchat account.
Shes going to be a pro at taking selfies before 2018 hits.

Maybe buying them Lego or a kid's keyboard, ball or other toys that can help them develop creative minds, problem solving skills etc. would be much better than exposing them to vanity and self-centered egos at such a young age. Playing and toys can do a lot to shape a child's future. It can builds interests and aptitudes in areas such as sport, music, and even maths or engineering. Instead, an iPad will encourage them to play video games for their lives and Social Media actually does nothing to help them integrate with other kids in real life situations. iPads can be good but in regulated situations and as a substitute to other toys and activities only, not as a central part of their life.
Honestly, I am so glad I am never having children.

Don't worry, I've got her a baby pram to push around with. It also has a cup holder but she'll have her iPhone there.
