He's a classic rural, southern New Zealander so he's just far more conservative socially than John. Everything else will basically be the same as John as he was the brains behind all the fiscal management of the country (and he gets a lot of acclaim for how he has handled the books). He's so bland though.
I know that rural voters will definitely turn out for him though. Very popular there, especially in hearing what I've heard from people around where I live in rural Whanganui. John was lucky to get the crossover appeal considering he lived right in the heart of Auckland... most rural New Zealanders hate that.
