Cheap Thrills is an amazing song! Sia is incredibly talented!
Side To Side, WDTA y Starboy are amazing too.
Stressed Out one of my favorite songs of this decade

Your last set was such flawless taste, minus Stressed Out.
Side to Side and Stand By You are definitely growers, but when you finally learn to appreciate them they are certified bops. Also, We Don't Talk Anymore and Cheap Thrills were amazing upon the first listen.

Stand By You is actually alright, she definitely could have done worse (see: Fight Song, her entire debut album)
We Don't Talk Anymore is cute Starboy is ok but really underwhelming
Stressed Out so high Such a great song, I hope they release an album next year
Side To Side is good but it didn't desevre to be the biggest hit of the era

And yes at Cheap Thrills

Yeah, SBY just really clicked with me. Definitely my favorite adult-pop song of the year.

I think Mom+Pop, Flume's US label, waited for so long because "Never Be Like You" didn't peak on Pop radio until early September when it was sent to recurrency. Obviously, they could have sent "Say It" immediately, but I guess they prefer to wait until November to do something until the freeze and push it a little more after it ends.
This is definitely risky and they could have delayed the impact date until January, but it would have been worse in my opinion. Also, there was a banner from his US label in the latest Mediabase .pdf, so I assume they have faith on it and it could be another sleeper hit from him. Time will tell if this indeed happened though.
Good to see "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)", "Dangerous Woman", "Me, Myself & I", "Cake by the Ocean", "When We Were Young", "Close", "Into You" and "Cheap Thrills" in the Top 40 list and "Stole the Show" and "Capsize" in the Non-Hits list.

Well, the song made it all the way to the upper 20s on Spotify with zero TV, radio, or iTunes exposure, so I'm assuming that Flume's team payola'd it onto some big playlists. But they should have done that and sent it to radio at the same time. It would have made the most sense for them to wait till NBLY died completely to payola it, then send it once the playlist inclusion took effect. Too bad.

Interesting, all of those were pretty much instant likes for me.

Stressed Out, STS and Starboy are all amazing
CT and WDTA were great radio songs but I'm tired of them now, too overplayed over here.

DJ Khaled f/Drake - For Free
9.0/10
For Free doesn't sizzle the way you'd think a summer anthem would; it's more stripped-back, with nowhere near the braggadocio or intensity of past Khaled efforts like I'm On One. Drake cruises through the track, sounding like he could rap his verses in his sleep, while producer Nineteen85 backs him with a perky, taut looped instrumental. It manages to be quite invigorating despite being smooth sailing for the frequent collaborators. The whole track is one long hook (minus Khaled's now-tired shtick), though the beginning of the second verse was particularly sticky for me. At the end of the day, For Free feels superficial in a year where Drake had all of the success that he wanted to, but its catchiness renders that all but irrelevant.
This position in 2015: Drake & Future - Jumpman
This position in 2014: Jeremih f/YG - Don't Tell 'Em
