The Queen and royal family are nothing but symbolic ambassadors for Britain, ambassadors with no power and who arrived at their high positions not out of merit or competence, intelligence or inventiveness. Rather, simply through the privilege and luck of being born into royalty. And what they symbolise most are classism and colonialism (the queen literally hands out Order of the British Empire awards every year, ffs).
Bitch, anyone like me and many others who were born disadvantaged in some way and have risen against the odds to higher education and good jobs (and, of course, also many who haven't) have achieved more than that family. Do. Not. Get. It. Twisted.
