#50 Adele - when we were young
|
This was my favourite song when the album came out, I love the message of the song and the note Adele hits in the last 'Young' where she just goes off made me completely lose my cool. Her vocals are amazing.

#46 Rihanna - Sledgehammer

This song is an absolute mess, but I love it.

I think the only reason I love it is because of Rihanna's voice, if it were anyone else this song would be awful - but Rihanna just has a way to make everything she sings sound so refreshing and unique.

#45 Sturgill Simpson - Brace For Impact (Live A Little)

I just recently listened to the entire album, and it was such an amazing experience. This track in particular had great production, and although I wouldn't necessary consider him country - it's definitely the top track of this album (along with the opening track).

#43 Miranda Lambert - Vice

Slu*ty Miranda is great. Her vocal delivery is perfect as well, you can really feel her loneliness as she sings throughout the track. It's unlike anything she's ever released before, and I really loved her for that. I was getting tired of the same old formula, and was fully expecting a typical generic-country "I hate men" lead-single but this had me by complete surprise.

#41 Lady gaga ft. Florence welch - Hey girl
|
Any track with Lady Gaga and Florence together deserves recognition, definitely one of the best tracks from the album.
It's weird, I didn't hear this song until a month or so ago and yet it was a huge hit. I personally think the '**** your white horse and carriage' is the best moment of the track (and entire album) and it's so smooth and sexy.

#35 Lady gaga - Million reasons

Such a cute bop, Gaga did a nice job with this.

#31 Beyoncé - Pray you catch me
#30 Beyoncé - Daddy lessons
|
I think Beyoncé could have occupied my entire best of list, Daddy Lessons gave me life first listen. The Dixie Chicks version is even better. Beyoncé needs to release a country album stat.
Although I don't like pure pop Weeknd, this isn't that bad and has a good catchiness to it.
Another gem off the classic album.

#21 Margo price - Hands of time
|
I'm so happy to see this track on so many lists getting the appreciation it deserves, it's SO SO SO SO good. Margo's voice may be the farthest thing from pleasant but she sings the HELL out of this track.
Good list so far! Excited to see the remainder of the countdown.
