The highest-paid child actor on TV doesn't star on a Disney Channel show. Nor does he headline one of Nickelodeon's many kid-friendly programs. The highest paid child actor on TV actually stars on the CBS hit show, 'Two and a Half Men.' His name is Angus T. Jones and he makes a whopping $250,000 per episode.

Earlier today, the New York Post revealed their list of the top 10 highest-paid kid actors on television today. After polling talent agents, casting agents, and other TV execs, they narrowed down TV's richest mini-moguls.

Surprisingly, Miley Cyrus didn't even make the top five. Though her franchise and 'Hannah Montana' namesake are worth millions (some even estimate a full billion), she's not making large chunks of change from her TV show. In fact, Cyrus makes around $15,000 an episode--landing her #6 on the list.

The second highest paid child actor on TV is Miranda Cosgrove, the star of hit Nickelodeon show 'iCarly.' This young lady makes roughly $160,000 an episode.

But after Jones and Cosgrove, there's a pretty big gap in salary for the rest of the list. The remaining eight actors make between $12,000 - $20,000 an episode. Not too shabby but certainly not in the same ballpark as Jones and Cosgrove.

How is that fair? I think Miley is richer though. She make's her money through merchandise and tours. They probably also had a huge contract before the show began which probably included her salary. The Hannah Montana franchise is worth a billion dollars. Your right though, Miley should be number one.

Her show 'iCarly' gets better ratings than all of the Disney Channel & Nickelodeon shows. It also seems that Nick is more generous to it's stars than Disney is which doesn't surprise me.

I was surprised at Miranda Cosgrove per episode salary...

but Miley earning only $15,000 per episode? I guess the case is that her first contract with Disney already included multiple seasons of Hannah, she would be receiving a lot more if she had to renew the contract every season...

Miley doesn't need the extra money. Her tours, music sales, and dough from other rolls in movies and television are earning her quite enough that Disney doesn't need to pay her as much. Plus, the show has lost a lot of its popularity. I hear people talking about Wizards all the time now. I'm not into the Disney shows anymore, but I have a feeling it's probably the highest rated Disney shows at the moment with Hannah coming in behind either it or Sonny.

iCarly is actually much bigger than people think, too. It's ratings beat the Disney shows pretty much every time new episodes air. I'm pretty sure it's the highest rated children's show on television. Also, Nickelodeon seems to be much more generous to their actors. It makes sense, though. Nick gets tons and tons of money every year, just like Disney, but Disney uses their money to fund their parks and makes dozens of movies per year. Nick doesn't need to spend their money on that. Not very many Nick movies are made every other month like Disney does.
