Yet she's bigger than ever with no signs of fading. Why? Unlike her peers Rih has never received a strong backlash for her actions?
Outside of her fashion statements and songs being played on the radio, the GP doesn't care what she has going on
Rihanna has always being a monster celebrity, back in 2010-2012 she was even bigger than Beyoncé as a celeb until 2013 happened and the got on the same level again.
And yes she gets a lot of backlash, she just doesn't care.
She has had backlash tho. Nothing long lasting or hitting hard against her commercially, but she's definitely been penalized in various ways -- critically she was often unfairly scored based on her actions and not her musical content, there were numerous unflattering articles and discussions, one could deduce her diminished touring this era was a bit of backlash for bad habits on previous tours. Nobody's made of Teflon and whether it's a short term blow over or career changing/ending, all public figures get backlash at some point for one thing or another.
