a little advance planning, but i plan on taking an online class over the summer, and i was wondering how did it work for you? is it easier then regular class?

I prefer online classes over regular classes so I take them instead. They are easy you just have to stay on top of them and make sure you're on schedule other than that they're easy.

I've never actually taken an online course. But there are a number of subjects from college that have pre recorded classes online, and I believe there was also some type of forum where you could ask the teachers if you had any doubts. (Never used the forum tho )

I did one in high school (AP Art History) and it was so convenient. You can study the subject in your PJs plus if the material is easier for you you can just advance faster to the next unit or whatever. I recommend.

I was learning Mandarin with ChinesePod a few years ago. I also had uni Mandarin classes at the same time. I must say the online classes were far and above the regular ones in every imaginable way.

You have to be very self-motivated. As someone who works full-time, I FAILED a class (two actually) for the first time in my life this semester, both of which were online. It's super easy to fall behind, and professors are less accommodating than they would be in person since it's a... dehumanizing? idk "less personal" experience. If you're organized and on top of your school schedule, don't work or work part time, and are good at independent study, online classes should work for you.

It was like my favorite class. I learned much more from it than I did from the other classes.

I've been taking all online classes for the past 2 semesters so I can work full time and it's great. The classes aren't necessarily easier but I can only spend the time I need to, meaning I can move faster and do everything at my own pace. They take discipline but are well worth it.

Note that I work 40 hours a week and took 16 credits this semester and was fine. Still had free time for friendz.

i've gone to school full time, worked 30+ hours and taken two online classes (and 3 in person).. that person is being dramatic


it's true that teachers are less accommodating for online classes, but everything is literally laid out for you. you can work literally any time of the day, a majority of the classes i've taken online allow you to work ahead (i've finished a class half way through the semester and not had to worry about it for weeks) and its super easy to cheat on tests bc you have google at your finger tips

I took a lot of online classes and found them easy for the most part. The difficult thing for me was sometimes the grading was harsh on message board posts. You have to make sure you include sufficient information and ask questions about the material for others to participate.

They are so easy I take one every semester to lighten the load

They usually just consist of one discussion question to answer a week and then online tests and quizzes (which are all open book/open internet/open notes)

I told myself I would never take them because I thought they were fake college courses and for dumb people but I had to during the summer and they were the most intense but easiest classes I've taken. The professors are always there and there were things due every day but they thought me a lot and I would recommend them at my university.
