Lemonade is overrated because it did well in pure album sales compared to other 2016 releases. However, that's now the least important metric
So you mean to tell me Lemonade is still getting media trade-ins months in to its release and yet is charting below minor albums like ANTi That doesn't seem like huge GP interest.
And when you look at its current single with 17M views after 2 weeks, along with the awful stats of its other singles, it becomes apparent that its her fanbase invested in this release and not the GP
It gets critical acclaim cuz quality won not because of the *pure album sales*
Britney was 10x bigger in 2008 than Beyonce is in 2016 fame-wise and relevant wise.

And Beyoncé isn't selling singles in 2016 and outside USA the era was a non-factor.
Let's face it, Lemonade was quality and she became legendary with this album. But the era was weak outside the album sales (all bought by the hive) and the tour (consumed by the hive exclusively too).
Circus was released in 2008, wouldn't it be more appropriate to compare it to the album beyonce released in 2008?
As stated, I'm comparing their 6th albums.
Album sales may have decreased since then but we can still compare them.
Album sales don't necessarily make a hit era.
That's why I said "please discuss" so we can have a discussion about which era is bigger, not which album sold more.
That doesn't seem like huge GP interest.
