I have a 2013 Macbook Pro 13'' Retina and I love it. Not planning on getting a new Macbook until they can figure their crap out.

Give me a Macbook with a traditional USB port, their new one, a headphone jack, a lightning port for the new headphones, and a different charging port. Then we are good (though I really want an HDMI port but am coming to terms that connecting laptops to computers in this way is becoming outdated with new streaming capabilities from the Apple TV).

Break, meaning general upgrades of the MacBook & MacBook Pro, but a break in terms of releasing new models.

We don't need an iMac or Mac Pro with only USB-C for example.

That isn't exactly surprising, computer and laptop sales are dying so why waste resources on it when iOS things make most of your profit.

I would really love to see how they have their engineers and designers allocated that such difficulties as described in the Bloomberg article are even possible. Like, they could afford to hire as many people as needed. There is no reason they can't have teams dedicated to every aspect of their hardware and software, as well as backup teams paid to **** around and explore more abstract/progressive concepts until they're needed.

At this point I truly believe Apple has given up on being the innovators they once were, and now just want to manipulate and milk consumers for every last drop. I don't believe anything described in the Bloomberg article came from honest mistakes with good intentions... Tim is holding the company's creatives back in the name of profit and efficiency.

Having said that, it would take a lot for me to give up my MacBook and iPhone. I just refuse to be an early adopter and support the ****ery they're trying. I'll purchase their new products once technology has actually caught up to support them, and once Apple fixes the fragmentation across their hardware. I could probably handle switching to an Android phone but I do NOT want Windows in my life.

I think introducing an iPad Pro with a few more ports and features would make it an apt Surface competitor.

I havent owned a portable hard drive in at least 2 years now. I have a usb-c to lightening cable. I dont have a separate camera. What would I have that for? Im a software engineer and I continue to make lots of money from it. Ive literally never even owned a camera that wasnt attached to a phone or computer.

The case is closed. Some pros get their work done without dongles.

I can't imagine them adding a port to their iPad when their professional computer only has one type of port available...

The next iPad will be without a headphone jack, which will be good because it will make me happier with my decision to buy a new iPad Pro a few months ago.

If you don't need to plug anything in your PC, you don't need Pro ports. You fit Apple's idea of "everyday consumer".

A Professional Photographer, uses a separate Camera. You aren't a Professional Photographer, so you won't need the Port.

You're a Software Engineer. Someone who works on Software, who doesn't need external hardware.

A professional musician needs to be able to plug in their instruments.
A professional artist needs to be able to plug in their tablet and camera etc.

Apple's two biggest Apps (Logic Pro and Final Cut), the reason why most creators BUY Macs, can't plug their Camera in, or their Mic etc.

Just because your work is Software based, doesn't mean everyone's work is

Using Xcode and tools alone you need the 16GB of ram. Secondly you need the screen real estate.

Yes, but that's not the case for all professionals. Our needs as developer is not one-size-fits-all. As someone who also does graphic art work, in conjunction with development, I am completely unable to plug in my tablet into a new MacBook Pro without a dongle which should not be said of a model that is supposedly geared for professionals.

But you don't need any ports Because it's software development.

Think of all the things people do outside of software and come back to me.
