This country continues to get messier. Peoples true colors will continue to reveal themselves.

Just a reminder that Obama and Michelle are the only prominent black leaders in the party right now.

Reminder that we just nominated a white woman to lead the party. Reminder that the other prominent leaders are all white (Bernie, Elizabeth, Joe, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, etc.) Food for thought.

You don't live in America. You don't how it works in here. There's a reason Obama was given a lower approval rating average than even George W Bush and some people desperately needed change after his term when the country is up by all objective metrics. There's a reason Hillary, who climbed higher on the political ladder than any other American woman, still lost to Trump. We have a different mentality than you lot have in Europe. There, every vote counts and thus you get the leaders that reflect how the country feels at that moment. We get a leader who lost the popular vote by 3 millions. There are institutions in here that keep the power within the white male establishment that are nonexistent elsewhere.

The White Supremacy Network is a mess

Because slavery, Jim Crow, stonewall, prohibition, etc. are not that old and historic for us. To have the first female, black, gay leader finally fighting for the same cause as you is a great feeling. No one votes for a candidate just because of their race, sex, or sexuality, but if that opportunity is right in front you, you take it. Again, America is not the U.K. We've been through way too much (and I mean in the last 2 decades alone)

That doesn't mean we don't believe in equality.
