Lena Dunham has apologized and made a donation to an abortion charity after she found herself in hot water by saying she 'wishes' she'd had a termination.
The creator and star of HBO's Girls made the controversial statement on last week's episode of her podcast, Women of the Hour.
Describing the experiences of loved ones who had had abortions and a visit she made to Texas Planned Parenthood, she commended the 'bravery' and 'self-knowledge' of women who have had abortions, adding that she has realized her need to put her own stigma surrounding the issue 'in the garbage.'
She is so annoying, like she's not helping feminism or women in any way. She just says stuff because she thinks she's being edgy, and it just makes her look dumb. She then becomes the example ignorant people love to use for hate.
Ugh she's so freaking annoying, her poor publicist must be going crazy trying to clean up the mess and these "apologies" for her... they're so manufactured... I would say someone else wrote them but...
