You should really take this class. You thinking that white is an actual race aka "human subcategory" is the problem. White is privilege, not an actual race. That's why the definition of who is white has evolved over the year. The idea of who is black has not evolved, because it actually refers to people of African descent. If white actually referred to people of European descent, why weren't the Irish and Italians considered white in the early 1900s?
