You do realize that we had airport security before 9/11 right? We never had "nothing" as far as security goes. Actually the increased security has also led to deaths. You may remember that a plan crashed because a pilot passed out. Nobody could get to him because since 9/11 the pilots cabin has been inaccessible for security.

The transportation security authority has had little to do with preventing plane hijackings. Homeland security has played a bigger role in that along with the No Fly List. I mean the odds of me sneaking a weapon past the TSA are alarmingly high, especially when you consider the civil rights violations in the name of said security.
