Whilst it's good to see the rightful outrage with regards to the recent atrocity in Berlin, it would be nice if there was such a similar collective outrage on here and across the media with regards to the mass genocide occurring in Aleppo. It's quite amazing how #PrayForBerlin is trending, yet I haven't seen anything with regards to Aleppo trending hardly ever. Or does the mass genocide of thousands of innocent Muslims by fellow Muslims not fit with the ongoing narrative?
Well one hardly has anything going on (bombings, religious fanatics cutting throats and throwing gays off roofs) while the other one has it 24/7 for several years with no sign of progress at all.
Ofc there is outrage for Aleppo's genocide but its just not as big as Berlin's since it was happening for years and there was outrage many times throughout the years it was happening (and still is).
Not saying its right that the outrage is smaller since the genocide in Aleppo is obviously worse than what happened in Berlin, but I understand why there isn't
First of all the Aleppo situation is covered, and has received international coverage and international disgust before the situation there is disgusting.
Second of all, you just can't ask people to feel as concerned when something bad happens right outside their home, as opposed to when something bad happens in a country they have never visited, and/or have 0 links with. It doesn't mean they don't care, but they just can't have the same reaction. You would care more about your mother dying, than a stranger. You'd be sad for the stranger sure, nobody likes when someone dies, but you'd be more devastated for your mother. Even though your mother's life and the stranger have the same value. Well this is the same thing here.
"Mass genocide" you're joking right? The Syrian government and Russia are targeting Al Qaeda affiliated groups and civilians coming out of E. Aleppo are CELEBRATING. Enough with the misinformation lol.

Its not surprising to hear that the Middle East is in shambles so people are desensitized to it at this point. It is surprising to hear of terrorist attacks in safe countries like Germany so people are going to pay more attention because its a rare occurrence, or at least it used to be.
